History
After leaving school i went on to study GCSE and A-Level Drama and Dance. Then on to NSCD (Northern School Of Contemporary Dance) for 3 years to specialise in dance performance gaining a Diploma in dance, choreography, teaching and related arts.
Then off down to London to study advanced performance technique with Transitions Dance Company at the prestigious LABAN Centre where i gained a second Diploma in dance performance and teaching. This is where i started to work with some of the worlds top choreographers, Richard Alston , Sung Soo Han, Mark Murphy , Della Davidson and Rui Horta . After a 3 month intensive rehearsal period we undertook a 64 date world tour visiting the Channel Islands, Austria, Taiwan and Japan. With every performance came the opportunity to teach in the local community, its alot of fun teaching a class full of 4 and 5 year old Japanese children when you don't speak each others languages.
I then started work as a professional dancer for many years working with more top choreographers like, Claire Russ , David Massingham and Octana Dance Company for 6 months in Athens.
It was during this period that i began to dance Salsa, work as a model and TV and Film extra. After many years of dancing and modelling unfortunately the contemporary dancing came to an end but the Salsa continued as did the modelling.
I then went on to gain some qualifications in Web Design and train as a Fitness Instructor / Personal Trainer. I still do some web design but it is as Fitness Instructor where i stayed for the last few years gaining more qualifications in Spinning, Fit Ball and Basic Nutrition.
Then came the opportunity to teach my own Salsa Aerobics Class which i run successfully with the help of Sharon (up front with me) and Mum (on the door).
Thanks for reading.
